EFD (Electronic Funeral Director)
Situation
We were approached by our client, Seker Ltd to provide on-site classroom training for their EFD (Electronic Funeral Director) software system – which provides management of Funerals from “first call” (after a loved one has died) through the funeral and to follow-up communication.
What we did – Client Meetings
Never having previously worked in the Funeral industry, Jet Net worked closely with the client, through phone calls, Zoom sessions and the software itself to learn all aspects of this business.
What we did – Their Clients’ Training
We learnt the functions of EFD, and then created separate training courses for
- System Administrators
- Funeral Directors
- Funeral Arrangers
- Support Staff
We then provided face-to-face classroom training to Funeral providers in the Midlands and the South East.
Even though Covid-19 struck whilst these training sessions were in progress, Jet Net were able to switch to training multiple delegates remotely using Zoom.
Technical information
EFD is a web-based suite of software for managing funerals. It allows exportation to PDF and other formats to help Funeral Teams run the funeral itself. Jet Net Systems did not get involved in the coding of the site itself, only seeing it from a “user’s” prospective.
